University Scholarship Program
On August 11, 2000, the Foundation entered into a
partnership with the
Susquehanna Community High
School aimed at stimulating its graduating students
to attend fine colleges and universities
The partnership involves:
- An annual scholarship award up to $80,000
($20,000 per year assuming satisfactory
performance) to a SCHS student for four years of
undergraduate study.
- A SCHS faculty committee to gather
applications from students and recommend a list
of finalists.
- Scholarship awards made at the sole
discretion of the Foundation. If no suitable
candidates are identified, an award might not
be made in any given year.
- Monitoring by the SCHS committee of the
performance of scholarship winners at college
and keeping the Foundation appraised.
- Past scholarship winners returning to help existing students prepare for college study.
